Well, this is a sweet spot for a break close to the East Yorkshire coast – Strawberry Fields Holiday Park is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Driffield beach, a long sandy stretch where you can take a good lengthy walk, go fishing or let the kids run about and let off steam (and it's dog friendly too, so the whole family can enjoy the experience…) And although the beach is a huge draw, it’s not the only thing this small family-run park has going for it on the location front as the village of Skipsea is also about 10 minutes’ walk away for a pub (with a good range of meals and snacks as well as drinks) and a well-stocked village shop. A café and ice cream parlour are also a few minutes’ walk away for sweet treats during your stay. Facilities on site include picnic tables, a washing-up area and modern bathrooms with accessible facilities and a parent and baby room. It’s all overseen by the family that run the place, who take great pride in making sure everything is clean and comfortable for their guests. All in all, this park makes a great base for an East Yorkshire break, mixing up seaside days (either here or in nearby Hornsea and Bridlington) with city strolls in Hull or rural wanders around the Yorkshire Wolds.

喜欢: The gentleman on reception was really helpful and friendly. The site was very clean and tidy and the toilets were kept spotless. For a nice quite break it’s fine as not much in the immediate vicinity.

不喜欢: We were on the very front part of the site left of the gate, no view or outlook just a hedge however we did book late so probably our own fault.

喜欢: Very spacious pitch,peace and quiet, spotless shower and toilets,lovely friendly guy who met us and showed us to our pitch, the curry night was great ,Indian curry with rice and nan bread£10 well worth it ,15 minutes to Bridlington, weather wasn't great but really enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back.

喜欢: Lovely well kept site. Nice and quiet area with village pub just a short walk away, serving lovely food.

不喜欢: No access to the beach due to cliff erosion. Nearest beach around 10 minutes drive away.

喜欢: Gorgeous spacious site with clean facilities. Friendly host who met me with a warm welcome on arrival. Lots of space for dogs/kids. Flat level ground for pitching with lots of sunny or shady spots to choose from.

不喜欢: Not the best location but if you're prepared to drive everywhere then it's a nice place! (Had been given directions to the beach which entailed a walk through various fields but couldn't figure out how to get there).

喜欢: The electric pitches were perfect. Plenty of room, a decent sized field for the kids to play, showers and toilets were really clean and warm. Washing up facilities are good. We had a great first stay for our first ever camping trip :) the chaos running the site are also really friendly and easy going.

不喜欢: A communal fridge would be an added bonus

喜欢: Great friendly site. Pitch was fab everything to hand. Toilet block and showers clean and tidy. Staff very helpful 👍

不喜欢: If you want to get on the beach do so from the site. If not you cannot due to massive coastal erosion of the cliffs

喜欢: We turned up quite late 8.30pm after calling the number on the office window we were immediately greeted by a lovely lady and guided to our pitch. Lovely clean facilities. Plenty of grass area to kick a ball about. Very friendly.

If you’re coming to the coast for a few beach days, you'll have plenty of choice – as well as strolling over to your local beach, you could head south to Hornsea (10 minutes’ drive) or north to Bridlington (15 minutes). The first is also home to the Bugtopia zoo, Honeysuckle Farm and fishing or sailing on Hornsea Mere, while the second has Bridlington Animal Park and various boat trips to tempt you away from the beach. A little further north again is Flamborough Head (half an hour), known as an excellent place for spotting sea birds. You may well also spot some wildlife while exploring the Yorkshire Wolds (20 minutes), either on walks, bike rides or horse-riding outings (20 minutes). Urban time can easily be on the cards as well. Day trips to Hull (35 minutes) come highly recommended, for trips to The Deep aquarium and the Streetlife Museum of Transport, and the lovely market town of Beverley (25 minutes) is well worth a wander too.
