Feel free as a bird at award-winning Crows Nest Caravan Park between Scarborough and Filey – this well-maintained place is roomy, green and has sea views overlooking gorgeous Gristhorpe Bay and Scarborough Castle. Crows Nest is five miles from Scarborough and two and a half miles from Filey, but if you’re taking a break from the seaside/ exploring the North Yorkshire coast there’s loads to do on site too: a lounge bar with entertainment in peak season to suit all ages and tastes, a family bar with pool tables, a games room, a play area for little fledglings and a heated indoor pool with poolside assistants during high season. The award-winning amenities block a short walk from the tent field has free hot showers, wash basins, hairdryers and socket/shaver points, and there are also family bathrooms and a disabled-access shower room. Elsewhere on site there’s a washing-up area, launderette, chemical disposal point and well-stocked supermarket. And, as you can’t come to the coast and not have fish and chips, there’s also a chippy takeaway open in high season (but they do have more fish and chips in Scarborough too). Bringing the family friend? Crows Nest Caravan Park is dog-friendly and dogs are allowed in the conservatory area of the lounge bar; there's also a dog park on site.

They will not be allowed access to a caravan pitch.

不喜欢: Bar needs a revamp but had to use the bland conservatory as we had dogs .no alcohol free .bar girl could benifit from a course at charm school .got charged extra when arrived to move from bottom to top same serviced ?

喜欢: Playground was good for the kids. Dog field was a good size.

不喜欢: Far too windy. Even after moving to an electric pitch behind the toilet block the wind broke two of our tent poles and we had to go home a few hours after arriving. All site shops only open Fri-Sun.

喜欢: Location is great - we could pitch-up our campervan right to the cliff edge for amazing views of the east coast and sea. Facilities were fine, free hot showers, cleaning facilities for pot washing. The shower and toilet block was clean and nicely heated, which was welcome as the weather was windy and cold! :) Would definitely stay again.

喜欢: The site was one of the best we've been to. The showers/toilets were warm, clean and warm inside, plenty of room too. The park was a very good size my daughter loved it. The site has a walk down to the cliffs, there's a doggy park where it's fencer off for them to run. The shop is well stocked, reception were lovely and helpful, the pitches were a good size fully serviced too. There was nothing really we didn't like. Oh my! The chippy on site tasted amazing too!

喜欢: We stayed on the fully serviced pitches and really enjoyed it. The site has everything you need and even the added bonus of a pool for a rainy afternoon! There are plentiful toilets and showers which are well maintained and family rooms available.

不喜欢: We found a fair bit of litter in the bushes behind our pitches, it may have just been blown about because it was a bit windy. Not enough to put us off, still a lovely site.

喜欢: The play area is good, so is the indoor pool and bar area. Staff friendly

不喜欢: Games room needs updating. Don't get me started on the WiFi...very very poor. Its the 21st century how any site can have such poor WiFi beats me. Showers need sorting out too on the lower block. Not much water pressure

当地景点

Leave the car behind: buses running between Scarborough and Bridlington pick up from the end of the Crows Nest Caravan Park drive and discount day tickets are available to keep more money for seaside rock. The kids will probably clamour first for Scarborough: there are the North Bay and South Bay beaches to bounce around as well as the traditional seaside fairground and donkey rides. But Scarborough’s also a hotspot for culture vultures, with the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Art Gallery and Rotunda Museum alongside regular festivals and events throughout the year. Fab Filey is even closer: this Edwardian town has a five-mile stretch of sand and is backed by the peninsula and cliffs of Filey Brigg – this is the place to birdwatch and wildlife spot, with rockpools along the beach and many species of birds and beasts to see all year round. The 110-mile Cleveland Way starts here for hiking your way around Yorkshire’s history and heritage: Scarborough Castle, Whitby Abbey and Dracula tales, Mount Grace Priory and Rievaulx Abbey are all along the route. Away from the seaside and vampires, puff between Whitby and Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, veer between villages in the North York Moors National Park or get citified around York and Hull, all within easy driving distance of Crows Nest.
