If you're the sort whose ideal rural break features not only heaps of peaceful space and gorgeous views but also a pub within walking distance and a bare minimum of narrow lanes to negotiate, Cliff Farm Holidays could well be the one for you. Access to this North Yorkshire site is pleasingly easy – just take a very short detour off the A170 and you'll be rewarded with 120 acres of working arable and beef farm. There’s stunning scenery at every turn, and the folk here have made the most of their Ryedale views by setting up walking trails around the farm leading to some of the prettiest corners. Walking’s also a great way to get to the nearest pub, a mere 15-minute stroll away in Sinnington, or to take in the trails of the North York Moors National Park, whose boundaries are a mile or so away. To grab a fish supper or stock up for your evening barbecue, it's a 10-minute drive to Pickering’s shops, supermarket and chippie. Days out can be any combo of coast, country and city that you fancy concocting: the seaside’s 45 minutes’ drive away at Scarborough, and York's historic streets are just under an hour away. Stately homes, animal park, heritage train rides and adventure parks are all in the local area, too. Facilities on site include a toilet block with showers and an accessible/family bathroom, a laundry room and a covered washing-up area. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you but must be on a lead at all times; there’s a dog run and mess bin provided.

喜欢: Plenty of space at each pitch and site is split into 3 sections keeping it nice and quiet. Toilet block was kept very clean and showers were great. There are 3 farm walks to wander on and exercise dogs.

喜欢: Site well laid out and clean, toilet block was spotless although having two showers may cause a wait if site was fully occupied. Great walks around the farm with three walks on offer, short medium and long, fantastic views around the walks. Site owners really friendly but be aware that electric is metered and due to cold weather during our stay we had to top up our initial £10 after the first night but I guess original £22.00 per night ended up quite good deal. Good facilities for water and emptying of the MoHo water prior to departure. Will return soon.

喜欢: The pitches were well spaced and the area was really lovely and quiet. The toilet and shower facilities were very clean and excellent nice warm showers. One of the best stay overs we've had and we've stayed at many.

喜欢: The hosts were absolutely lovely and made sure we knew where everything was. The barn we booked was big enough for the two of us (even had an extra room we had access to but didn’t need). It was all self serve which we knew before arriving and we were only a short walk (about 10/15 minutes) although this was closed when we arrived so we chose to walk over to the next village (35 minutes once we figured out the most efficient route). We woke up to the sight of calves running around in their pens which was lovely to see and there were plenty more animals on the farm for us to see. Easy check in / out process and absolutely no hassle whatsoever.

不喜欢: The only dislike was that the toilet/shower facilities were separate from the barn we were staying in but they were really close (10 seconds away) and well maintained so absolutely no problem with that.

Get set for action – there’s a whole heap of countryside antics to be had in the surrounds. The North York Moors National Park is a mile way, with all manner of trails for walkers and cyclists to roam along, and other activities including rock climbing, caving and abseiling. Those who’d like to trot around on horseback need only stroll up to Sinnington for a stables with pony rides, lessons and rural hacks. A top pick for those with a daredevil streak is Dalby Forest (25 minutes' drive), home to a Go Ape adventure park and mountain bike centre. For something a little more leisurely, take a stately stroll around Castle Howard or steam through the scenery on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway; both are about half an hour away. Something for the small sorts? Take a foray around Flamingo Land theme park and zoo (15 minutes) or see the big birds in action at the National Centre for Birds of Prey (20 minutes). Stacks of seaside frolics are 45 minutes away in Scarborough, and there's plenty to see in York (50 minutes) too.

营地没有接待处。请在farmhouse办理入住。

安全

严禁明火。
可以烧烤，但必须搭建架子远离地面，且始终有成人看守。
