喜欢: Location, facilities on the whole, cleanliness of pitches and showers were lovely and warm.

不喜欢: Some toilets were not the best in terms of cleanliness. Only 8 showers for whole of site.

来自经理: Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, however regarding the shower and toilet blocks we have 3 shower and toilet blocks available on site, this adds up to 12 showers in total. We do like to make sure that all our toilet and shower blocks are cleaned and maintained to high standards. As this was a bank holiday and the weather was not the best, we do tend to have issues with grass and mud, but our maintenance team do go round and check the toilet and shower blocks as much as possible through out the day.

喜欢: Perfect for families with young and older children. Play area and a games room ideal for dry and wet weather. You’re also able to choose where you pitch which was ideal.

The onsite café is open from 9am-4pm, which does not serve food however we do sell sandwiches, sausage rolls and pies in the shop which you are welcome to take into the coffee shop. also, the pub is open from 4pm and the onsite fish and chip shop from 5pm. If you are wanting food throughout the day, there is a pub within walking distance down the road that does amazing pub food. 喜欢: Refurbished toilet block (1 of 3) near Reception building

不喜欢: Overcrowded site trying to be all things to all comers. Ugly area for tourers near gate: dead tree/s, weary pitches in old-style grid formation, poorly mown grass with clippings left to be carried indoors, overlooked by bedroom windows of adjoining house with its rusting oil tank and elderly leaning rotary airer, weeds, weak sporadic internet, humming noise of ventilation from main building even at night, no beautiful views unless you count the roofs of tens of static caravans as beautiful. This site is best for those camping with tents who will likely be accommodated down in the central part of the site where there is good turf and beautiful fell views. Apart from that, this elderly site provides too uneven a quality of experience to the different types of visitors it accommodates.

喜欢: We pitched our tents on good glass land. It was quite not to many people. Our tents were secure when left then alone all day. The on-site facilities were clean with no dirt or filth.

不喜欢: Only issue is the farm animals are a little loud at night. But that's expected for campers

喜欢: Beautiful site, lovely pitches excellent showering, washing facilities as well as washing up facilities. Very friendly, welcoming staff

喜欢: Good size pitches with water available on each one. Friendly helpful staff Fish and chip shop on site a couple of nights a week which is handy for a night off from cooking. Also a coffee shop, bar and well stocked shop. The Ulswater hopper bus stops at the site and takes you to the local areas. We didn’t need the children’s facilities this time but if we had brought our grandsons there would have been plenty for them to do.

不喜欢: Nothing to really dislike. The noise of what sounded like a large fan could be heard through the night and was distracting until you got used to it.
