Penmarlam Lodge Retreat

Alternatively, it takes just a few minutes aboard the ferry from the neighbouring village of Bodinnick to reach the pretty town of Fowey, veritably buzzing during its annual regatta week in August, but a lively spot at any time of year with its cafés, pubs, shops and restaurants, and a popular family beach at Readymoney Cove. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are the closest of the top attractions, both just a few miles away, but you’re really well placed at Penmarlam to reach all the top stuff of Cornwall: animal sanctuaries, historic homes and gardens, theme parks, castles, museums, and scenic towns such as Polperro and Looe.
