Cornwall? Newquay? But of course. Anyone having a hol in Cornwall at any time should pitch up near Newquay at some point: for famed surfing beaches, lively vibe, Newquay Zoo, the Blue Reef Aquarium… and easy access to the rest of the north Cornish coast as well as the beaches down south. And if you're looking for a family base within walking distance of Newquay? Pitch up at popular and friendly Trencreek Holiday Park, owned and run in the quiet village of Trencreek by the same family for over 60 years. This pretty and well-maintained park is a mere mile from Newquay town centre and on a regular bus route, passing tennis courts, swimming pools and Newquay Zoo on the way into town. Trencreek is a family and couples-only holiday park, where the family team here make their mission to provide a welcoming vibe and to keep all amenities to spotless standards. Everything's kept secure here: access is by car number plate recognition barriers, so only those booked on site are allowed in. Spend your days lazing by the heated outdoor pool or casting off – for free – in the coarse fishing ponds, or let the kids loose at the play area, sandpit and games room. By night, you could settle down for a barbecue by your pitch: an excellently-stocked shop is on site, a farm shop is within five minutes' walk and a supermarket is a mile away.

喜欢: Basically nothing to dislike, showers and toilets excellent, used the pool on a number of occasions great to have available, shop on site with a take away next door, did use the bar on a number of occasions well priced and comfortable, pitch excellent with drainage and water, walk to town 25 minutes very convenient.

喜欢: Had a real lovely stay at Trencreek, stayed 2 nights + extra night, easy to book with PitchUp, very clean n spacious site, security gate, nice showers , toilets n washing up areas, friendly people n receptionist, pretty close to Newquay Town n Fristral beach about 1.5 miles away. Easy to drive to St. Ives, St. Michael’s Mount n Lands End. 100% recommended to friends and family. Surely be back again.

喜欢: We first stayed here in a tent 40+ yrs ago. Came back for old times sake with our campervan. We were not dissapointed. Friendly welcome when we chcked in. Given a welcome pack with lots of leaflets. Lovely flat pitches. Clean and tidy showers and toilets. Made use of the swimming pool one day. It was great! Lovely and heated. About a 40 min stroll on a well lit path and your in Newquay. Laundry facilities used as we were on a big trip. Definitely visit again when we're in Cornwall again. Thanks for a lovely 5 night's. A bonus for us was no dogs allowed. Not for everyone but we appreciated it.

喜欢: We loved Everything about our stay, very well kept, shower blocks where extremely clean, grass was well looked after, it had amusements on site a pub which opened at 7pm, outside pool which was warm and clean, cafe shop and launderette, it wasn’t loud to say it was pretty busy, we had a very relaxed holiday, number plate recognition so we felt secure, Morrisons Lidl and McDonald’s just a 10 min walk, would definitely go again

喜欢: Friendly staff, the whole place is nice, clean and quiet, brilliant pool and ponds, and all of this close to Lidl and Morrisons. Will deffinitely return next year!

喜欢: Everything, Trencreek is a fantastic campsite. It's our second time visiting this site, and I doubt it'll be the last!! Toilets and showers constantly kept clean. The on site facilities are also great.

不喜欢: Only dislike was on our last night a group turned up and started smoking weed, however the entire week and the last time we stayed here we've only ever had a great experience, this has to have been a one off

Set off on foot or take the local bus for the mile-long journey into Newquay, one of the most famed spots in all the country for surfing and surf schools as well as the surfing tournaments at Fistral beach. Loads of other Newquay options await if the thought of boards bores you: have a potter around the zoo or aquarium, bask on some of the seven miles of golden sandy beach, or take the Newquay Discovery Trail on a gentle meander through town. The South West Coast Path runs through town too on its 603-mile meander from Minehead to Poole; there's an easy trail of less than a mile to Bedruthan Steps if you want to tackle the path with the kids. Just outside Newquay, Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park is a spectacular spot for a family day out, with Trenance Leisure Park and skate park, a boating lake and pedalo hire, and peaceful times afterwards among the trees, flowers and rose bushes of Trenance Gardens. The park is 10 minutes' walk from Trencreek. For day trips, try Truro (25 minutes' drive), Padstow (30 minutes), the Eden Project (35 minutes) and the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth (50 minutes).
