Can’t wait to get out on some Cornish surfing waves? Staying at Sunny Meadows Tourist Park puts guests within easy reach of the famed beaches at Perranporth (five minutes’ drive) and Fistral (15 minutes). A quiet family-friendly site, it extends over five acres of spacious landscaped pitches, and is surrounded by ten acres of fields where you can walk any dogs or simply take in the views. But no matter if you’re just not that into surfing. Everything on site is set up to keep families entertained: there’s a play area for toddlers and a field for kicking a ball around, and a family room with a TV for lazy evenings or days when the weather turns sour. Teens can make new friends in the games room over a bout of table football, ping-pong and pool. Other handy facilities to keep on top of your holiday housekeeping include a washing machine and tumble dryer (on a meter), and two washing-up areas. Catering-wise, you can spark up a barbecue (bring your own) for alfresco family suppers, or head into the village of Goonhavern (10 minutes’ walk) to eat in the local pub or the all-day restaurant at the garden centre.

喜欢: The huge dog fields - so much space to gallop round and so many rabbit holes in the banks to sniff - Ernie says thanks Very friendly owner Local Londis shop has Waitrose-like sections too, real treats there Well-organised recycling facilities Buses nearby - Truro's a leisurely hour away on the bus Walkable to Perranporth

喜欢: Great location. Well maintained pitches.

不喜欢: Facilities are a little tired and dated. Games room needs sorting. Dirty with random tables and chairs stored in there. Fridge freezer again very tired and needed cleaning. Hot water to wash up is limited and goes cold quickly. Lighting would be good in the evenings as it makes it dangerous going to the toilets or games room as you can't see where you're going. Wifi code doesn't work.

喜欢: Good space for tent set up. Quiet park generally Good play area for kids Fridge and freezer for use Location only 5 mins from Perranporth

不喜欢: One shower block always had drains clogged with hair which made them smell and weren't cleaned out for the 6 nights we were there. Fridge and freezer were very dated and could also do with a clean

喜欢: Simple site and good spot for getting out and about.

不喜欢: Tents should not be pitched in the first caravan field really. The traffic is constant day and night, with lorry's waking us up at 4am every morning as the hurtle past.

喜欢: Good location, friendly staff, large pitched with water taps, brilliant dog walking field, Londis, pub and bus stop nearby.

不喜欢: It was probably a bit too quiet for us! Everyone else seemed to go to bed by 9pm so we constantly felt like we were telling our teens to be quiet at night.

喜欢: Payment is easy. Place is really worth to staying. Services are ok. Staff is so kind. WC and bath are everytime very clean.

不喜欢: Not dislike but I may suggest to you that you can make your description with more details maybe by using more photos. And also it would be better if the campers could find pathes to have a walk.

So, about those surfing beaches. Atlantic waves are consistent at three-mile-long Perranporth (five minutes’ drive) beach. Fistral, Newquay and Porth beaches (all 15 minutes) are also popular spots for catching waves. All four beaches have gear hire and surfing schools for any level of skill too. And as it’s just 20 miles from north to south Cornish coasts, you can contrast the surf of the Atlantic Ocean with the calmer waters of the English Channel at family-friendly beaches like Swanpool (40 minutes) at Falmouth, which has mini-golf, kayak hire and bouncy castles for younger kids. Away from the coast, you can play golf (10 minutes), get to know the locale on horseback (five minutes), or climb aboard the mini-steam train at Lappa Valley (15 minutes) to chug through an area rich with Cornish tin-mining relics. Take a trek with friendly llamas from Llama Lland, or visit Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm (both 10 minutes) to taste and buy some local scrumpy cider.
