Military Pod Camping

喜欢: No one else camping in mid september. A surreal experience with the military gear from WW2 all over the site. The site owner was very kind and helpful. Not expensive compared with other sites on the Lizard. Very basic amenities but I for one like it that way. The sky at night there is terrific. Recommended.

不喜欢: Can be noisy early evening from Predanneck airfield but all local sites similarly affected.

喜欢: As a family we love staying in smaller/quieter campsites and this one was perfect. Not too many pitches were in use during our stay and there was lots of room in the field for our girls to run around and place frisbee & games. Amazing location for such a cheap price. We also didn’t have enough room in the car to bring a fire pit along, but were kindly lent one by the owner, with logs also, which made our stay even more perfect! The kids also enjoyed looking at the old ww2 anti aircraft weapons on site, which was an added bonus of staying there. Would definitely stay again!

喜欢: Ideal location if You want to explore area around the Southernmost Point of GB. Camping site is small, quiet and clean. Mil-Podx3 and it's facilities is located a bit separately and surrounded by historical military constructions, so it is easy to maintain privacy but at the same time You can always easy reach other quests for chat. Everythink as described - hot private shower, gas cooker and even heater. Electricity provided from solar panel, bright lights and 5V USB ports to charge mobiles. Convertable double bed will fit 6'6'' tall guy. Excellent communication with site owner via texts, emails before arrival and also in person.

喜欢: Another brilliant stay, we have a firm favourite spot. So lovely simple and peaceful. After a long day exploring nothing better than coming back to have a lovely hot shower, peaceful background listening to nature and watching the stars. Camp owners are wonderful. Friendly, attentive yet allow the space and more than happy to help. Shower block has privacy. Water readily available, no question or issue to big or small. Makes holidays affordable for us! We love the history, the people and the simplicity. Thank you guys!
