Passaford Meadow Campsite is a peaceful spot open to cyclists, walkers and anyone looking for a back to basics countryside experience. This off-grid site's pitches are totally car-free for extra relaxation, with traffic-free trails such as the popular Tarka Trail accessible just a short distance away. You'll be pitching up on a level field of just under an acre, with facilities that include two basic composting toilets and a simple shower set-up. There's also a washing-up sink outside, plus a fresh water standpipe. As this is a remote spot without any lighting, please bring a good torch to help you get around after dark. The site is about 10 minutes' walk from the little town of Hatherleigh, where there are two pubs and a café to explore. Hatherleigh also has a small but handy supermarket, a Tuesday market and local buses which can take you to Okehampton, Bideford and Exeter, allowing you to relax and leave the car behind. Passaford Meadow Campsite welcomes barbecues.

喜欢: We had a beautifully peaceful and restorative stay on the meadow. Our hosts were so friendly and accommodating without intruding on our personal space. We spent a few days exploring Devon - driving to Dartmoor, Exmoor and various sections of the coast - and the location was perfect for that. The facilities were incredibly clean, uncomplicated and eco conscious. We loved everything about our stay and will certainly be visiting again in the future.
