喜欢: The shower/toilet facilities were spotless and had everything we needed for our young family. The pitch was plenty big enough for us and allowed for some privacy. Perfect location for a quiet beach getaway.

喜欢: Amazing campsite. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We forgot to pack 1 of the air mattresses and a member of staff lent us 1 for 3 nights. Toilet and showers nice and clean. My children loved it here. Short walk to the beach. Castle and church close by to visit too. Fully recommend a visit 😁

不喜欢: We were supposed to be pitched together as a group , but when got there we weren't - despite there being many pitches available and requesting to be part of a group . Cars driving around after 11pm and had to endure listening to arguments at 11.30pm from the pitch next to us, although not the parks fault , it wasn’t patrolled enough.

喜欢: Very clean site, out of the way down country roads, lovely walk to the beach (about 15 mins walk) same distance to a lovely castle (£20 admission for 2 adults & 2 kids) Ice-cream van comes onto site around 8.20pm with ice creams, Lolly's and slushies.

不喜欢: Not the campsites fault, we got pitch 92 on top of a hill. Winds reached 47mph, our tent has a hole in it, the tent next to us had to strap the front of their tent to their car. 5 showers total for the entire site (however we were fine with this as the site was pretty quiet)

喜欢: Great pitch sizes and really friendly staff. Clean facilities. Lost something that was handed in and staff rang/emailed me to make sure I got it back. Plenty to do within short drives. Great price for a long bank holiday weekend.

不喜欢: Shower pressure not great.

喜欢: Friendly reception staff and personal escort to our pitch. Nice walk to the castle, village and local beach. Close to several of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire.

不喜欢: Too many dogs. Unaware if a dog free zone was available. I would definitely have asked if I'd known how many dogs were going to be there. Bathrooms were servicabl but nothing special.

Pack the wetsuit, surfboard and other foamy paraphernalia: this part of west Wales has several surrounding sands known for good surf, such as Manorbier beach (best for experienced surfers because of the strong currents), Tenby South and Freshwater West (where scenes in Harry Potter were shot, film fact fans). Jetskiing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking are all available locally for a shot or two of more adrenaline, but if your idea of watersports verges on the sedate, you can take a RIB ride or hire a motorboat for a trip around Tenby harbour and Caldey Island to sightsee and species spot: dolphins and seals are often seen here. Fishing? Set your jaws and try to land a shark – quite a few toothy types swim along the south coast of Pembrokeshire because of the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, and a 150lb whopper was landed near Milford Haven in 2011. If the mere thought of sharks is bringing back disturbing childhood memories of a certain film, take a boat out for sea fishing instead from Tenby, Fishguard, Pembroke or Milford Haven, or try one of the shoals of river and stillwater course and game fishing around the county. On land, once you’ve spent the requisite days at Oakwood, Heatherton, Folly Farm and the Dinosaur Park, explorers have plenty of other leisurely options in the area for family days out. The 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be joined at the far end of Tenby’s South Beach for a five-mile hike east to the golden sands of Saundersfoot and on for another two and a half miles to its finishing point at Amroth, via lots of stopoffs for snaps of seabirds and seals from the cliffs. Little nature fans should like a trip to Tenby’s Manor House Wild Animal Park for all manner of up-close encounters with lemurs, gibbons, meerkats and more, or a trip around the three floors of Ocean Commotion, a play park for kids from tots to ten. Once the kids are suitably bribed/tuckered out, grownups have plenty of pursuits in the area to pick from: try the indoor and outdoor markets at Tenby and the market at Pembroke Dock; a scenic drive west along the coast to cutely small St Davids (well worth the drive), or teeing off at one of Tenby’s top-class golf courses.
