Previous guests rave about this site’s well-appointed facilities, its family-friendliness and its handy Normandy setting, an easy kilometre from its local settlement of La Haye-du-Puits. The Camping L'Etang des Haizes vicinity sets guests up for holidays of all flavours, providing plentiful outdoor activity and sightseeing options around the area, from horse and donkey rides and pedals along local cycle paths, to beaches, an adventure park and canoeing within 10 minutes, plus a golf course and a spectacular coastal walk around Cape Carteret within 20. Days spent on site are bound to go swimmingly too, at the ample facilities to amply occupy guests of all ages: first off, the aquatic area has a roomy pool and a four-track slide to whizz down, a whirlpool to bubble away in and a paddling pool where teenies can jump in for safe splashtime. The swimming pool is right next to a pond where guests can relax on a rented pedal boat or simply settle down among the peaceful surrounds with a picnic. Keep your eyes peeled, because you can sometimes see the greedy ducks that have taken up residence on the pond. Elsewhere on dry land, there are two playground areas with slides, a rope bridge and outdoor toys, and a kids' club with activities, games and creative play. Foodwise, shops, restaurants and a weekly Wednesday market in La Haye-du-Puits are all within a kilometre.

喜欢: Lovely site. Very welcoming reception. I have used this site on many occasions, just an overnight stop this time. Would give it 5 stars but the shower block is looking a little tired.

喜欢: Clean, tidy well kept site, didn't appear 'tired' although it was after the main summer season. Given a great pitch lakeside as I asked to be near the etang for fishing. Walked into La Haye which was a pleasant small town with all necessary shops etc.

喜欢: We very much enjoyed our stay at Camping L'Etang des Haizes. The pitches are spacious, the outside pool is amazing and great fun for the kids with the water slides. I understand that there is also an indoor pool but we didn't use it. The site is centrally located for touring the area and only half hour from the Normandie beaches. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk into the town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We spoke to many guests who return each year to this site. We felt very welcomed and will certainly be returning again.

喜欢: Location was great, after 17 hour ferry crossing only about 50 minute drive from Cherbourg. Quiet campsite with great facilities and somewhere to walk the dog. Would stay again next time in France. Also a Supermarket near the camp site to stock up on arrival.

喜欢: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at L'Etang des Haizes. We would definitely return if we plan a Normandy holiday. The showers and toilets were impeccably clean all the time, the bar was great with a good selection of food and drinks, the pool was great for the kids, close to the supermarkets, the town is a great place to visit especially on market day, and the fishing lake was well stocked...you're guaranteed to land one ;-) The staff were great and happy to help at anytime. Keep up the great work x

喜欢: Facilities were all excellent. Toilets and showers cleaned multiple times a day. Lovely spacious pitches with shaded areas. Kids loved the pool and slides. Attractive setting with lake. Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Visiting food vans were an added bonus.

喜欢: Loved everything about it, had a little bit of everything you would need, kids loved it too (13,20,23) pool is fabulous and only a short walk into a lovely town .. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time as we only had 2 nights there . Very clean and the staff were lovely.thank you

喜欢: Really nice vibe, kids loved the pool enough sunbeds you didn't need to be up at the crack of dawn and pitches were spacious.

不喜欢: Facilities are a little dated but all good and clean and it wouldn't stop me coming back!

喜欢: Friendly welcome, great facilities and a lovely pool. Lots of activities available for the children (we sadly didn't have time to explore as only stayed one night). A wonderful friendly site- great for a motorhome stop over or a longer holiday. Our 6 & 3 year old loved it.

There’s a fair bit to do within a kilometre, from scenic horseback tours and sedate donkey rides to pleasant pedals along local cycle circuits. Also within easy reach are canoeing and kayaking, archery and mountain bike hire at the leisure base of Saint Sauveur le Vicomte, where there’s also an adventure tree-climbing centre. An 18-hole coastal golf course is a short drive away at Saint-Jean-de-la-Rivière. For a pleasant and family-friendly seaside resort, head to the spectacular sandy beach of Barneville-Carteret, also a lively fishing and sailing port with boat connections to the Channel Islands for seafaring sightseers. Coastal hikes can be had from here too: get onto the Douaniers footpath for a seaview promenade around Cape Carteret. The World War II Normandy landing beaches of Utah, Sainte-Mère-Église and Omaha are within an hour's drive.
