Come to Camping La Corniche for a Brittany holiday on a well-run, well-kept park, with loads to do on site and in the surroundings – whether your tastes tend towards active options, idling or simply seeing how much seafood and cider you can manage in one sitting. Your setting for the above is 1.5 kilometres from the sea across the Bay of Audierne and a kilometre from Plozévet. It's a short drive from here to Audierne, a former fishing village with wide sandy beach (and where oysters are still dished up for sale in these modern times), and half an hour to the department capital of Quimper. When not at the seaside/around the bay/guzzling local oysters, get stuck into the many organised activities on site: pétanque, aqua gym and table tennis during the day, and karaoke, theme nights, competitions and dancing into the evenings. Daytime and evening entertainment, as well as a kids' club with games, arts and crafts and outdoor activities, are also open during July and August only. A heated, covered indoor pool and play area are all on site too should you and the kids prefer to pootle around under your own steam. A bar and takeaway are available for drinks and snacks. Among the essentials are a reception area with tourist information, postal service and newspapers; toilets and showers, and a launderette (washing powder and tokens are on sale at reception). The grass pitches are all spacious and all set near a water or electric point.

Trot or cycle along to Plozévet for a potter around this seaside town first of all, then drive along the coast to Audierne to investigate its shops, cafés, restaurants and the freshest of local oysters. You can also take a boat from Audierne's port of Esquibien to the legendary Île de Sein. Well worth a day trip is the seaside town of Benodet, about 40 minutes' drive away, for a long length of family-friendly beach, indoor options including art galleries, a casino and the Benodet Seaside Museum, and boat trips from the marina to the beaut Glénan Islands. Sailing, kayaking, surfing, diving, walks, bicycle trails, horse riding and fishing are all nearby.
