Brittany beach, anyone? Oui, oui and yet another oui – and why not make it Morbihan and windsurfing too? Sort a stay forthwith at Camping La Ferme de Lann Hoëdic, less than a kilometre from the windsurfing beach of Le Roaliguen, in a green and spacious countryside setting surrounded by hiking and cycling trails. The staff's aim of the game here is to provide a place where guests can have a comfy stay on a friendly site without the noise of busy bars and pools. Have a peaceful time by hiring a bike from the team and pedalling off to explore the grounds and the local cycling paths: one leads directly to the beach via a shaded forest trail. La Ferme de Lann Hoëdic is on the Rhuys peninsula, between the Atlantic coast and the town of Sarzeau two and a half kilometres away. It's 800 metres from the beach and its associated sailing school, and a short drive from Aquagolfe waterpark, Penvins aerial adventure park, and sea kayaking at Kerners and Logeo. Carnac is less than 50 minutes' drive away. A mini farm is on site to entertain the kids, along with a pétanque court and a big play area with giant jumping pillow (the wooden tractor on site will surely amuse small sorts too). Grownups can sink into sessions at the spa or settle down for a massage, all the better to be good as new for a spot of windsurfing or a bike tour the next day…

喜欢: Extremely warm welcome. Very friendly and helpful. Clean and very pretty pitches. Crepes available in the evening. Brilliant location, just 10-15 walk to the beach.

喜欢: Well-tended site with a good mix of private space and openness. The lady who runs it very helpful and happy to engage with. Toilets clean but dated and as others have said, the timer on the shower is too short - but hey.

喜欢: Peace and tranquility. Cleanliness of facilities. Access and local area.

不喜欢: No loo roll or hand-wash but had read previous reviews so have our own little pack made up with a small hand towel too.

喜欢: Nice quiet site with level pitches. Facilities were clean and water hot. Good wifi (not free). We arrived late after the Reception had closed but found a pitch easily and checked in the following morning. The Receptionist was very helpful and recommended several good places to visit in the area during our short stay.

喜欢: Easily accessible. Services very satisfactory. Warm welcome from staff. Plentiful advice and suggestions from staff. Pitches were ideal for caravan and awnings. Location was ideal for all nearby visitor attractions. ideal location to access the wonderful cycling routes. We averaged 30 km per day cycling to visit almost all destinations around the Golfe de Morbihan and its beautiful beaches..

不喜欢: The lack of accessible wi-fi. Disappointed that such a lovely site could not provide a sustainable connection to the internet free of charge!

喜欢: Very friendly reception . Able to order croissants each day. Great pitch in a shady spot . We were given the choice. Surrounding are was perfect for lots of cycling with excellent safe tracks. Beach a few minutes away on the bike . Safe sandy beach . Nice little village nearby with super u and a few bars and shops .

不喜欢: Shower block certainty not the worst but shower cubicles small and water literally stays on for 5 seconds a time . Hard to wash my hair ! The water was hot though . Prefer hand basins for use after the toilet to be open as all in cubicles and noticed most people not bothering. No soap for hand washing

喜欢: Friendly check in, choice of pitch, good clean facilities. RV drain point. 15mins free wi fi. Fairly peaceful despite being busy. Great location a 15 min woodland walk to the beach.

This is a beaut part of Brittany to get out onto the sea from: bag a session of sea kayaking from either Kerners and Logeo, both four kilometres away, or drive 15 minutes or so to the top tip of the peninsula for guided boat tours around the Gulf of Morbihan. On land, one of the most famed sights on the peninsula is the Château de Suscinio, a 14th-century castle that was home during the Wars of the Roses to the future English Henry 7. Guided tours of the château are available in English during the summer months. For family fun and highly amusing days, have a splash around the Aquagolfe waterpark, 20 minutes' drive from the site at Surzur. There's also the Celt'Aventures aerial adventure park of Penvins, within 15 minutes' drive, where the brave can take forest and treetop trails among fairies, elves and druids. The Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys golf course is 15 minutes' drive away.
