Camping Le Mont Joli-Bois

Head to the port town of Le Tréport and take a scenic ride on the funicular from the top of the cliff down to the town via a chalk tunnel, emerging above the pretty seaside settlement’s slate rooftops. From here the forest and 16th-century château of Eu town are also within easy reach. Camping Le Mont Joli-Bois is also a bonnie base from which to explore several spectacular coastal walking trails through France’s Seine-Maritime department, like the highly scenic route that stretches from Le Tréport to Veulettes-sur-Mer and the spectacular chalky cliffs and Natura 2000 site of the Côte d'Albâtre, 70 kilometres away, via the site’s local seaside town of Criel-sur-Mer, Berneval-le-Grand, Dieppe, Varengeville-sur-Mer, Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Veules-les-Roses and Saint-Valery-en-Caux. Other nearby activities easily accessible to outdoorsy sorts include exploring the Yerres river valley à vélo et à pied, sea and river fishing and horseback hacks from the local equestrian centre. Also splendidly for families, a public pool is close by too.
