Who said you have to go to Africa to watch ostrich running around? You can watch them on the other side of the fence in safety while enjoying a relaxing stay at La Ferme de Montégut. The farm breeds ostriches and deer and sells its produce directly on site, perfect for a meal cooked on the communal barbecue. This a calm and relaxing campsite in a countryside location, with a swimming pool, a fully-equipped communal kitchen and an amenities block with hot showers. Every Tuesday during the summer season, the owners organise free visits to the farm. The site has easy access to many walking and cycling trails, as well as historical villages.

Only a few kilometres away, you can visit Estaing, renowned for its castle and its medieval architecture. Also see check the nearby village of Sébrazac with its Roman church, and Espalion and its lively market every Friday. Millau with the biggest viaduct in Europe is an hour from the site, and the Gévaudan Wolf Park is within 44km. Famous local attractions also include the bridge over the Lot in Estaing, part of the World Heritage Sites of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela, three kilometres away; the Abbey Church of Saint Foy (22km) and the pilgrim bridge of St Chely d'Aubrac (22km).
