Camping Les Pirons

Golf, horse riding, scuba diving and watersports are among the many activities available nearby, all among the spectacular surroundings of the Vendée. Camping Les Pirons's local town is Chateau-D'Olonne, a small and peaceful coastal town a few kilometres from the much busier Sables d'Olonne and with a much quieter vibe around its beach and coastal path. The small town and harbour of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie lies to D'Olonne's north-west. The big zoo is one of the most famed attractions at nearby Sables d'Olonne, but the seaside resort is also well known for its beach, three kilometres of sand with plenty of activities as well as bars, restaurants, nightclubs and a casino along its beachfront. Fishing, paintballing, go-karting and miniature golf are all available not far from the site, or for a cultural day, get along to Château de Talmont and Château des Aventuriers, or the nearby museum of seashells and the museum of automobiles. The Puy du Fou and Futuroscope theme parks are also within easy day trip distance.
