Les Roulottes et les Folies de la Serve

Start your wine-based wanderings at Hameau Dubœuf, half an hour’s drive from the site. Tastings, educational tours, train rides and adventure golf are among the attractions at Europe’s first wine-inspired theme park. Also around half an hour away is the Touroparc Zoo, for animal antics interspersed with amusement park fun and waterslide riding. Or you might choose the cool calm of the aquatic gardens at St-Didier-sur-Chalaronne, to wander through the bamboos and past lotus-filled ponds. Closer to home, stride forth on hiking routes directly from the site or try your luck at the site’s fishing pond. Or take a quick five-minute drive to the local quad biking centre to hit the trails for some cracking views (bring some old clothes for this – things can get a tad messy).
