As you'll see even before arrival, the Maremma region of Camping Village Santapomata is a top Tuscan tourist spot: its golden beaches, lush landscapes and mild Mediterranean climate make it a mighty desirable location for many months of the year. And if, on top of all that, you could have your sunny stay on a private Tuscan beach? Hail it all at this scenic family and forested site on the sandy beach of Rocchette, one of the most famed on Tuscany's Tyrrhenian coast. The spectacular ancient centre of Castiglione della Pescaia, another famed Tuscany tourist spot, is a paltry six kilometres away. However, you'll be spending quite a bit on time on the site beach first… perhaps most particularly at the handsome beach bar…? A beach café is also at your disposal, for soaking up the sun along with the free wifi. Of an evening, you'll likely yearn to investigate the site restaurant, to work your way through its menu and a most excellent selection of fine Maremma wines. Pizza and takeaway are available too, or there's a market and bazaar for supplies to cook up on the barbecue back at your Tuscany base. Tennis, mountain bike excursions and bike hire can be arranged by the knowledgeable Village Santapomata team at the site info point, where the adventurous can also find out about trips around Maremma and the region's famed cities such as Siena, Florence and Pisa.

喜欢: Strandbar und Restaurant super Personal sehr freundlich

不喜欢: Die sanitären Anlagen entsprechen nicht dem europäischen Standard. Man möchte in den Duschkabinen nichts berühren weil es einfach nur eklig ist und die Beleuchtung im Waschhaus ist auch einfach nur fragwürdig. Um den Müll zu entsorgen muss man den Campingplatz über die Straße verlassen….hab ich auch noch nicht erlebt. Außerdem wäre eine Hundedusche am Strand erforderlich!

喜欢: Toller schattiger Terassenstellplatz. Strandnähe! Kleiner aber feiner Platz ohne Animation und Schnickschnack mit überwiegend Italienern und Dauercampern. Bietet einen tollen kleinen Supermarkt mit Bar nebenan. Es gibt ein tolles Restaurant und eine sehr schöne Strandbar. Wer es luxuriöser mag: bucht ein schickes Haus oder Clampingzelt. Wunderschöne unterbaute Bucht!

不喜欢: Waschräume ok, aber Renovierung wäre schön ;)

喜欢: TUTTO STUPENDO !!! Mare bellissimo in un tratto di costa Toscana dove immergersi nella natura. Campeggio grande, attrezzato e ben ubicato con personale molto efficiente e gentilissimo. Un angolo di paradiso dove spero di poter presto ritornare. Grazie !

The Maremma region has long been a popular spot to holiday, for its long summers and mild climate, its wine and its spas, and its 160 kilometres of coastline made up of cliffs, coves and long sandy beaches backed by pine forests. The site's local beach is Rocchette, a long strip of clean and golden sand at the end of Le Rocchette village with the quieter beach of Roccamare adjoining it. Another must is Castiglione della Pescaia six kilometres away, the first seaside town in Tuscany and a popular destination ever since. (Rightly so too: make your way into town for its famed Etruscan centre, archaeological site and museum of Vetulonia.) Also at Castiglione della Pescaia is the wetland nature reserve of Diaccia Botrona, famed for its flamingos; more wildlife watching is at the Natural Park of Maremma along with plenty of hiking among its stunning surroundings.
