Calling all mountain hikers, mountain bikers, climbers and canyoners… wend your way up to this Sierra Nevada site for easy access to all your fave outdoorsy pursuits, with some rather scenic surrounds thrown in for good measure. Family-run Camping Balcón de Pítres has been on the go for over 30 years, so the folks there know a thing or two about the area and can happily advise on all the top treks and trails around the locale. They’ll no doubt also point you in the right direction for the best eats, drinks and stuff to see and do in and around the little village of Pitres, which is a 15-minute stroll away. Whatever you get up to by day, head back to base to cool off in the outdoor pool (high season only) and follow up with a good feed at the restaurant, which serves up traditional dishes using veg harvested from its very own garden where possible. More self-reliant types can pick up all the necessaries for DIY dinners at the on-site grocery store.

喜欢: Great location in the mountains. Clean and and tidy toilet blocks . Showers were brilliant. Ideal for waking and mountain biking . Fantastic views .

不喜欢: It says reception open between 9am and 5pm . Turned up at 3pm and found it wasn’t open until 5pm .

喜欢: We liked the camping: it was quite, comfortable and very "green" we even put our tent on the grass and not on gravel pitch like in many other campings in Andalucia. Nearby there are a lot of mountain trails and a small cozy city. Defenetly come again

喜欢: La amabilidad de la chica de recepción. Servicios super limpios, duchas confortables y cómodas. Abundante sombra, no pudimos estar más cómodos.

不喜欢: A mi no me importó, pero el acceso puede hacérsele largo a gente que no le guste curvear. Y yo por lo menos descarto salir por la noche por esas carreteras, nosotros optamos por acampar y descansar la noche que llegamos. Pero para gustos los colores, vimos que mucha gente salía. Es decir, para mi el camino para llegar no fué un "contra", pero entiendo que para alguien pueda serlo. Tienes que ser consciente que tienes media hora de curvitas ;-)

不喜欢: Der står ikke at der er lukket nogle timer om eftermiddagen så måtte vente på at komme ind. Dårlige pitch områder, der var telte alle vegne også der hvor camperne skulle stå så de havde taget de bedste pladser. Meget hunde larm. Restauranten åbnede først ved 20-20.30 tiden så ikke muligt at købe noget før der. Receptionen havde ikke styr på at vi havde betalt online så ville opkræve os igen.

当地景点

This part of the world (the ‘sunny side of the Sierra Nevada’, according to the owners) is crammed full of hiking and biking trails for all sorts of abilities, including some proper downhill descents for brave bikers and some gentler village strolls for folks who prefer a more leisurely pace. Horse riding, canyoning and climbing excursions are also nearby for a different view of the Sierra Nevada National Park. Much gorgeous local plant life is on display at the Alpujarra Garden Association, half an hour’s walk away on the other side of Pitres. On the way back, pass by the arts centre in the village itself to view (and maybe treat yourself to) paintings, pottery and leatherwork made by local artists. If you’re up for a drive of an hour and a half or so, you could also make day trips to the Moorish city of Granada or down to the coast for a beach day at Calahonda.
