This Spanish site is simply a beaut – and the location's pretty special too. Take a look at the photos to see the fab blue pool and well-kept facilities, then get acquainted with its setting: Maestrat Park is an hour north of Castellón, between the Orange Blossom Coast and the Serra d'Irta – and in an area filled with attractions, scenic walks and quiet little villages… And beaches: the sands of Benicarló are 25 minutes' drive away, and the popular seaside resort of Peñiscola and fishing harbour of Vinaròs are just east and west along the coast from there. Other Spanish seaside towns such as Oropesa del Mar and Benicàssim are easily driveable for day trips. Back at base, there's lots to do and stacks of space to lounge around at: have mornings floating lazily in the pool, afternoons basking on the sundeck… There's a gym if you want to keep up your fitness levels, and a reading room with a library and internet point if you're not so fussed about workouts.

喜欢: Services block spotless and good quality. 200m2 pitches to use. Dog friendly. Swimming pool available, weather too cold when we stayed. 15 minutes to beach a resident said.

不喜欢: Not in season but shop often closed an little choice with other options a drive away. Restaurant/cafe/bar not always open when expected. Food good but basic choices.

喜欢: What a gem of a campsite. Well laid out pitches with water electric hook up. Trees planted for shade. The man on reception really helpful, there's a little shop selling mostly English produce. There's a swimming pool bar and restaurant every thing one needs for happy camping. The shower blocks clean and plenty of hot water

不喜欢: I can not say there was anything I disliked.

喜欢: A quite nice stay on a good size level pitch. Took us by surprise how arid the area was, however we soon got over this as it’s a very pleasant park Has all facilities one would need

不喜欢: WiFi kept dropping out and when in was not much use. However, 5G was good Out of season the restaurant only opens Thurs to Sun. We were unaware so missed out. Pool was closed but understandable.

喜欢: Lovely site with fully serviced pitch that suited us very well. Nice cool clean pool, and site was super quiet - but then we were completely out of season!! Best WiFi ever at a campsite.

不喜欢: Pool was closed for 2 days following a massive storm, so hard to criticise for that. Pitches need a bit of tidying up at the end of season but were fully functional.

喜欢: Lo recomiendo hemos estado súper bien, camping tranquilo con parcelas muy espaciosas y buena sombra, todo muy limpio, lavabos, duchas, piscina etc. El chico que nos hizo el checking fue muy amable nos trajo un alargador para el ventilador y nos ayudo en todo. Volveremos seguro.

当地景点

This smashing seaside and setting will put you close to the fine sandy beaches and warm blue waters of the Province of Castellón, as well as to towns and mountains, villages and fishing, ancient heritage and natural park landscapes. Days' worth of days out are within 45 minutes' drive of the site, including fishing in the Ebro river and sightseeing in Morella, the ancient walled city set high on a hilltop. It's just over an hour to Castellón de la Plana, with its 13th-century cathedral and 15th-century bell tower (make for the town square to see most of the best-known old buildings). The beaches of Benicarlo are a popular destination in the region, as is the old town of Peñiscola and its Knights Templar Peñiscola Castle (the 'city in the sea' is so spectacular it's been used as a location for Game of Thrones). This region is mountainous as well as seasidey, so also take time to trek around the shrubland, woodland, castles and Moorish watchtowers of the Natural Park of Serra d'Irta, a marine nature reserve running parallel to the coast. A golf course is within 15 minutes' drive and San Jordi village five minutes' drive away.
