Parkgate Farm Holidays

Irton, Holmrook

Cumbria

CA19 1YN

Why here? This small and peaceful farm site has wonderful views from its dramatic location amid the Cumbrian valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale. There's no need to set up camp on arrival at Parkgate Farm Holidays, as accommodation is all in units with pretty much everything supplied – which means it’s all the quicker for guests to get down to some serious admiring of the views from their private decking. There are fell views from most windows too, so rain needn't get in the way.

And thanks to the farm’s location in the Western Lakeland, the lack of light pollution means an awe-inspiring panorama of the glittering Milky Way on clear nights.

Key facilities: Showers, charging facilities, dogs welcome

One last thing… Guests have direct access to the raw beauty and far-reaching views in the high fells from the site, while a 10-minute drive takes you to beaches on the north-west coast for seaside scenery.
