  • Peaceful family-run site on a North Yorkshire farm
  • A 10-minute drive from the North York Moors; 25 minutes from Whitby
  • A mile and a half to a country pub; walking and cycling trails nearby
From kayaking around the local reservoir and whizzing down cycling trails in the North York Moors National Park to digging into fish and chips on Whitby's harbour… a 10-minute drive away from the North York Moors National Park, Stubdale Farm Campsite is well-situated for all three. A small family-run site on a working farm, residents include an attractive herd of Aberdeen Angus cows, some pedigree Suffolk sheep and free-range hens who often wander around. There are simple facilities on site, including a portable toilet, so simply show up, unpack and unwind… perhaps take in the splendid views over the surrounding countryside as the pitches are in a peaceful corner of the farm. Pining for a drink or some warming food? Handily, there’s a country pub a mile and a half from the site (or a five-minute drive away). If your supplies or snacks are wavering, there are also several food shops within 10 minutes’ drive of the site where you may want to head to bulk out your stores again. You’ll likely need the energy, as there are a few footpaths that join up with the farm (why not pack a picnic for along the way?) Handily, there are also cycling trails close by (and of course, many more in the North York Moors or the coastal routes).
