Star fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Proximity to West Bay was perfect, including a 5 minute wall to the beach. Pitches were clean and plenty big enough. Shower block close by. Overall had a lovely 4 nights in West Bay Holiday Park

Disliked: Whilst the shower block was clean and tidy, it is a little tired. Wifi only available un the club house

Electric grass pitch

Liked: View was very good from pitch but we were up on the grass pitches at the top of site being a older couple we found the hill walking up very hard to do .staff were very helpful on site clean tidy site .but no seating in showers for people to sit and dry their feet people were going into toilet cubicles to dry them .bus service is every two hours each way so cheaper than parking car if site seeing .

Disliked: Very steep hill leading up to grass pitches at top of site .did notice that when it rains water gathers around the camping site entrance and when heavy rain site fiooded as it did for our first night

Star fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Basic pitches but adequate

Disliked: Seem to put pitch up bookings on the lesser superior pitches than booking directly. Were told not to use toilets by cleaner at 9.45 but have to vacate by 10am?

Star fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Nice area.

Disliked: Pitch not very level and noticed that all motor homes had to use all their ramps to full. No one to meet us or inform us of where our pitch was we finally found someone in the main holiday complex who showed us where to go. The touring pitches are at the back of a large holiday complex without any Wi-Fi on pitches.

Star fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: The staff were all truly friendly and helpful. The fully serviced pitch was perfect, nice size and private with a hedge either side. The position of the site is great for looking around the harbour and a pleasant walk into Bridport.

Disliked: The ladies showers and toilets were clean but cold. The doors were never fully closed.

Local attractions

Start on the doorstep in West Bay itself: you could go fossil hunting underneath the sandstone cliffs, crabbing in the harbour, take a boat tour of the Jurassic Coast, or head out into the big blue yonder on a sea fishing trip; then there’s golf, paragliding, scuba diving, watersports, and excellent walking along the coastal paths… Take a break from feeding yourself up on all the gorgeous local produce to hand feed the birds at Abbotsbury Swannery, where the 600 nesting mute swans make for an impressive sight (and plenty of hungry beaks); there are also award-winning gardens and a kids' farm to explore. The coastal resort of Lyme Regis has been drawing the crowds since time immemorial and is well worth a visit; other historical gems in West Dorset include the Jacobean manor house of Mapperton, set amongst topiary, terraced gardens and rolling hills; Forde Abbey and gardens; a cluster of castles; and the giant chalk man in the hillside at Cerne Abbas. Alternatively, if there are animal addicts in your party, they'll go ape for the 240-plus inhabitants of Monkey World and potty for the penguins and underwater specimens at Weymouth Sea Life Park.
