Wheathill Campsite

Mi è piaciuto: Another absolutely amazing weekend at wheathill Facilities are always pristine The campsite is just gorgeous, the children just love to run around and be with nature. We love that it's a small site with no frills. Children don't need a playground to have fun, wheathills I'd a natural playground. They can watch the fish and water boatman in the pond. Listen to the birds, watch the pair of kites hunting in the evening, roll around on the grassy hill, run through the woods and just have fun with nature 💚 Friendly staff always willing to help. Excellent value for money We will be back again !!

Non mi è piaciuto: The tap in the smaller toilet room has slightly too much pressure and soaks you if your not careful. Only a very very minor issue and is slightly funny when the 3 year old got a face full of water 🤣. The person next to us was using a drone each night, our personal feelings on this is that it is a bit intrusive and ruined the sunset for the rest of the campers. We were all sat peacefully watching it and then the next moment you have a load buzzing noise floating above your heads. Not wheathills fault, but wondering if on of the site rules could be no drones ?! As I know a farmer ran up to tell the man that the drone could scare the horses !!!

We have recently changed the tap as it was getting stuck down so we will look into adding a flow control valve so no one else gets soaked 🙈 Our rule on drones is to not fly them over adjacent fields as they may scare the horses. We don’t want to ban these completely but will take your comments on board.

Mi è piaciuto: The site itself was lovely with a lovely fishing lake, beautiful views and local walks. Very peaceful with basic clean facilities

Non mi è piaciuto: No wash basins in the showers. Only tiny sink in toilets which only had cold water and not enough room to wash in

Mi è piaciuto: The mattress in the nest cabin was the best nights sleep ive had will be returning 100 percent sarah was great sorted out our fire wood 😁 had a great time 10/10

Mi è piaciuto: Beautiful site in the heart of the rolling Suffolk hills. The pitches are situated around the lake and the views are lovely. A couple of minor issues - our satnav tried to take us up Derrick Hill. DO NOT do this. The campsite sign is immediately next to the hill with the entrance through the farmyard. The hill to access the site is quite steep but once you are there it's a joy. Sarah is super helpful and friendly. There are 2 lovely showers and 2 loos, as well as washing up facilities for campers. Currently only cold water for washing up but Sarah said they are planning to install hot water over the winter months. They are also installing a grey water waste drain in the ground which will be very useful for motorhomers. Grey water currently needs to go in the Elsan point which is uphill so a bit of a trial. The site also has a couple of glamping pods which looked lovely. Very peaceful and beautiful site. Will visit again.

Mi è piaciuto: Nice peaceful site great host very clean shower/toilet, easy fishing and to top it off marshmallows included with the fire wood perfect site in my eyes

Mi è piaciuto: I LOVE THIS PLACE! Perfect get away weekend. I cant fault this campsite at all. Toilets and showers are always spotless, owners are amazing people, quiet and relaxing and plenty of fish to catch. First time bring my parents with us and they are already speaking about booking again. Thank you. See you again
