Wimbleball Holidays

Gostou: Small and quiet site with great facilities for a long weekend stay, including excellent hot showers. The site is sheltered with level pitches and only a two minute walk to Wimbkeball Lake and the circular route around the lake. The owners have put thought into the small set-up, the camping facilities (e.g.fridges, freezers and an under-cover drying line) and into the suggestions for places to visit in the area.

Gostou: Lovely site tucked away at the bottom of a lane with just a short walk to the lake. Very friendly and helpful hosts who brought out bubbles to keep the kids occupied- thank you! Spotlessly clean facilities with the bonus of having a fridge and kettle. Nice and quiet, well maintained site. We'll definitely be back.

Não gostou: No WiFi signal, which would be a negative for some but great for us to fully switch off. So no negatives!

Gostou: Great location to escape busy city life. Beautiful lake with lots of activities such as fishing, kayaking, cycling and walking. Children enjoyed farm animals and wild life around. Hosts are great!!!! Brian did bubbles for our children. Facilities are clean. We had great time!!!

Gostou: Quiet, secluded spot. Good ground for hammering pegs in! Very helpful hosts. Lovely warm showers. Lots of fridge and freezer space. Beautiful walks on your doorstep. No phone signal.

Não gostou: Not being able to put car by the tent - was fine in the end and I understand why. No phone signal - both a like and dislike! Shared M/F toilets and only 2 sinks was a bit of a pain in the morning when you want to wash your hands and there's a queue of people brushing teeth and hair.

Gostou: The owners couldn't do enough for us, they were so helpful, checking in every day to see if there was anything we needed. Lovely small site right next to the lake. Handy amenities such as fridges, a kettle and plug sockets available.

Gostou: Really peaceful. Very remote, beautiful area. We got up at 2am one night to watch the stars and there is so little light pollution you could see satellites and shooting stars. Brian, owner, was lovely, hired a little fire pit and bought some logs which made the evening. Our little Jack Russell had a great time as well

Não gostou: Nothing to do with the site but there aren’t that many places to eat out in the evening in the local area

Gostou: Lovely peaceful place with excellent scenery The toilet,showers and washing up facilities were absolutely spotless cleaned twice a day The owner was a lovely character and nothing was too much bother I would highly recommend this campsite if you love watersports and walking No internet connection was no annoying phones to disturb the peace and quiet Downside is very on the beaten track no local shop or pub within walking distance but dont let this put you off as the peace and tranquility makes up for. We will definitely return as it's a hidden gem 10/10

Gostou: We love returning to South Greenslade Farm. A beautiful campsite with great amenities and super helpful hosts.
